Manufaturing Day

PIBM organized the ‘Manufacturing Day’ at the campus on 6th August 2016, where Industry experts from the Manufacturing Sector were brought together to interact with the students. PIBM conducts this event every year to bring Corporates from various domains and discuss various topics. Through this event, PIBM students are imparted with every piece of information relating to manufacturing and the various challenges, opportunities, and threats faced in the industry.

The panel members shared their valuable insights with PIBM students on opportunities and amplification, challenges of the manufacturing sector in India with reference to Make in India initiative by Govt. of India. They discussed the flexibility of Govt. policy with respect to the road, water, employee facilities (such as hospital, school, colleges), local licenses (Factory Act, Pollution Control, ESI), challenges faced due to Chinese products, working capital (project feasibility, project finance), talent management. This event helped PIBM students to get a better understanding of the overall business and business-related policies.

The panel members shared their valuable insights with PIBM students on ‘Young Talent (between 18 to 30 yrs.) Acquisition, Development & Amplification, Retention’. Also, they discussed the ‘Issues and Challenges faced by the manufacturing sector and how to address them’. This event helped PIBM students to get a better understanding of the various aspects of the business for the young emerging entrepreneurs.

The panel members shared their valuable insights with PIBM students on ‘How to achieve gender balance in progressive India with special reference to Encouraging Women’ and ‘Work-life balance especially for Women employees’. This event helped PIBM students to get a better understanding of the importance of gender balance in the workplace.

The topic of discussion was ‘Challenges faced by the manufacturing sector with regards to Talent Attraction and Retention’. The panel members shared their valuable insights with PIBM students about the management practices, policies, regulations that need to be practiced in the business world. This event helped PIBM students to get a better understanding of the importance of manufacturing companies and the challenges faced by them.
